FAQs

How can you tell when you need new brakes?

Squeaking or squealing noises coming from the brakes Indicator light turns on- if car is equipped Deep grinding metal sound Vibrating brake pedal Brake pads appear less than 1/4" thick

What types of services are performed at Chucks Automotive?

Complete Auto Repair Services Engine, fuel systems, emissions, & performance Cooling system service & repairs Engine mechanical repair & services Oil Change Services Air conditioning & heater service Brake services, axle service/replacement, wheel & tire services Electrical circuits, switches, & electronics Maintenance services available Transmission & clutch service Charging & starting systems Wheel Alignments Light Duty Diesel Repairs

How long will repairs take?

Time needed by a vehicle to completely get repaired typically depends upon the level of repair required and availability of auto parts etc. Visit the shop and our technicians will carefully examine your vehicle and provide you with an accurate time estimate.

Why should I have my cooling system flushed?

It is best to have the cooling system flushed at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer. Having the system flushed once a year is commonly recommended if the vehicle is driven regularly. Coolant breaks down over time, becoming corrosive which can cause premature failure of gaskets and seals. The idea is to replace the coolant before it gets contaminated to avoid costly repairs.

Why should I have my transmission fluid flushed and regular intervals?

It is best to have the transmission fluid flushed at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer under normal driving conditions. Under severe service it may be advisable to have it flushed more often. Transmission fluid breaks down over time due to the extreme temperatures during operation. The idea is to replace the fluid before it looks dark or smells burned so the transmission can operate at its best. This will prolong the life of the transmission and head off costly repairs and inconvenience for you.
