It's a special day! This morning Hayley received her Journeyperson Certificate, officially marking the end of her apprenticeship and designating her a licensed Automotive Service Technician. Hayley attended the Rocky View Mechanics program throughout high school before joining us in an entry-level position, cleaning vehicles and helping out around the shop. She quickly demonstrated a work ethic that isn't common amongst young people today, plus an eagerness to learn and a great attitude. We knew Hayley was something special and it wasn't long before we registered her for an apprenticeship. Hayley completed her four year apprenticeship ahead of schedule and has even attended supplemental electric vehicle training at a level that most technicians have never seen. She has already serviced or repaired over 2000 vehicles - maybe even yours! We're looking forward to looking after thousands more together with this special young lady. Only 21 years old and earning a lucrative salary with no student debt, Hayley's story also underscores the opportunity that exists for young people in the skilled trades. Congratulations, Hayley!
